REALLY SCARY WORDS OF PROPHECY
Ok, now you may be one of those that believes that God doesn't talk to His people anymore and that there is no such thing as a prophet. We're not saying (AT ALL!) that everyone that sticks a, "Thus sayeth the Lord..." in front of whatever they say is hearing God.
Amos 3:7 says, "Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets." So, if God is still doiong something, then He must be revealing it to somebody. See an error in that logic?
What you need is LOTS of discernment. You need to test the spirits and make sure it sounds like something God would say, and more importantly, that it is consistent with Scripture. God will not contradict Himself. It should glorify and lift up God, not the person speaking (or their own personal agenda).
Below are a whole bunch of words - from days to decades ago - warning about what's coming and the need for repentance. We try to put folks here that we know to have shown a consistent ability to hear God and filter "themselves" out of the message. But ultimately, you need to be the judge. If you don't have any Holy Spirit in you, or you don't know how to hear His voice, these will probably just be scary and you won't get any witness in your heart that these are from God.
We can help you hear God better, if that's what you need. Repentance is a good start toward that. These should help.
Almighty God, please open our hearts to your messages and help us to seperate truth from lie. Please forgive us, Lord, for the giant mess we've made. We don't deserve it, but in your mercy, if you could just give us a little more time, we'll try to fix it. I'm so sorry, Father.
