"No Steeple, Just People"

We will be holding a Family Reunion in the Park!  Wouldn't it be great if the whole Body of Christ could just come together, share what God has given them, feed the hungry, clothe the naked - and maybe pray together?

Saturday, April 18th from 10am to ??
at Ruth Moore Park 
(downtown Liberty next to the Fire Station on Mississippi & Grover)

We will be distributing over 20,000 pounds of groceries, plus clothes and free hot dogs and more. 

We are accepting donations of all kinds (clothes, appliances, food, baby/kid items, blankets, fans, etc.) in advance of this event at 106 Crawford or we can come pick up your large items.

We intend for this to be a monthly event. We need to make sure that Liberty gets fed.

If you don't need help - then what have you GOT?  What is sitting around in your closet or cupboard or business or garage that could be used by someone in need?

Right now, we really need Twin Mattresses, Refrigerators, Freezers, and money for food that we can distribute around town (and gas to do it).  We're not waiting for people to come, we're going out and finding them. 

For $500 we can get 10,000 pounds of food in and out to those in need in Liberty!  For $100, we can get 2000 pounds.  For $10 we can get 200 pounds.  You can fully sponsor one of our monthly events for about $1000!

You may not need us now, but you might someday and we need your help NOW.  How bad do things have to get before we get serious about this.

We have a dream:

Wouldn't it be great if Christians from all over town could have a place where they could just come and worship and praise and pray together without walls or divisions or structure? Wouldn't it be great if the "world" saw us actually BEING One Body out in public?  What if everybody in town knew that they could just turn off the TV and go to the park any night of the week and SOMEBODY would be there preaching Jesus or worshipping?  Are you really free? Do you need a "Spiritual Tuneup"?  How well are you hearing God?  We can help you hear Him REALLY good ALL the time.  For real. That's the way it's supposed to be.

Couldn't we all just pray together? II Chron. 7:14 says, "If My people who are called by My Name will humble themselves and pray, then I will heal their land." 
I think you get bonus points for humbling yourself in public!

Let's get out from behind the walls and take Jesus OUT into the streets.  Please?
How hard could it be? We have hundreds of anointed singers and speakers and prayer warriors in this town.  How hard it could it be to get the Body of Christ in one little town to act like Jesus?

Would everyone that loves Jesus Christ more than their denomination, PLEASE take one step forward?!

Then maybe we can drop all the stupid arguments, 
hit our knees together and see what HE wants us to do next.  
(HINT: It probably has something to do with caring about others more than ourselves.)

We believe that "Liberty" is the word on God's heart at the moment and what we're learning here has application everywhere.  We hope you will find lots of resources that will help you in your walk with Christ - and maybe even to help you reassert the Church of Your Town.

"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then,

The "Church of Liberty" (Missouri) has always existed, it is the body of believers that are truly and completely sold out to Christ and willing to walk in His ways.  It's just that this invisible Body has been sliced up into hundreds of little chunks spread out all over town.  And not just in the institutional churches, there are probably tons of folks at home by themselves who love Jesus but are completely disillusioned with the "system" we've built.

Maybe it's time to do it the way Jesus wanted it done. Yeah, that'd be nice.

'Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such "wisdom" does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.  But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness.'  James 3:13-18

"The entire law is summed up in a single command: Love your neighbor as yourself.  If you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other." Galatians 5:14-15

We're going to preach only JESUS and Him crucified.  He is the only answer. Everything else is going to burn off in the fire - so maybe we ought to go ahead and lay it down now.

We are NOT a new "church". We are the Body of Christ in Liberty.
We're just finally taking a stand as One Body, that's all. 
No big deal.  I mean, what could happen?  We're just one little town ...
